Systems Accountability
Identifying gaps, patterns, and failures in systems that impact safety and outcomes.

Kindling Light is a nonprofit organization focused on education, advocacy, and accountability related to domestic violence and complex court systems. We work to make systems that often feel confusing or inaccessible easier to understand, including family court, magistrate court, and circuit court, while supporting people impacted by those systems.

We believe access to clear, accurate information can reduce harm. Too often, people are expected to navigate legal and institutional systems without understanding how they work, what risks exist, or where accountability breaks down. Kindling Light exists to help close that gap.

Our work centers on plain-language education, survivor-centered advocacy, court system navigation, and systems accountability. We support individuals, families, advocates, and community members by breaking down complex processes and highlighting common challenges and gaps.

Kindling Light does not provide legal advice, legal representation, or therapy. Our role is educational and supportive, helping people feel more informed, prepared, and less alone as they navigate difficult systems.
